A. SpeedAlert™ works with Global Positioning Satellites and the in-car GPS unit to pinpoint the position of the car. Using a pre-recorded database of speed limits, the software is able to recognise the current Speed Zone the car is travelling in. SpeedAlert™ is also able to calculate accurately the speed of the vehicle, warning the driver using audible and/or visual alerts if the car exceeds the speed limit at any time.
